Biofisika joins Euro-BioImaging Spain delegation at SPAOM 2026

Members of Biofisika's imaging platform, technology transfer, and communication teams participated in SPAOM 2026 as part of the Euro-BioImaging Spain delegation, alongside representatives from other Spanish Nodes of the infrastructure.

SPAOM 2026 brought together researchers, imaging specialists, technology developers, and industry representatives to discuss the latest advances in photonics, microscopy, and imaging technologies. As part of the Euro-BioImaging Spain delegation, Biofisika contributed to the infrastructure's presence at the conference through networking activities, scientific posters, and workshops.

Together, representatives from different Euro-BioImaging Spain Nodes engaged with participants from academia, research infrastructures, healthcare organisations, and industry, highlighting the opportunities offered by Euro-BioImaging for accessing advanced imaging technologies, specialised expertise, and tailored scientific support.

The conference provided an excellent platform to present the capabilities available across the Spanish Nodes of Euro-BioImaging and to demonstrate how researchers and companies can benefit from access to state-of-the-art imaging services without the need for major investments in equipment, maintenance, and specialised personnel. This model accelerates research and innovation while enabling users to address increasingly complex scientific and social challenges.

As part of the programme, the Euro-BioImaging Spain delegation contributed scientific posters and workshops that showcased imaging applications and expertise available across the infrastructure. These activities encouraged discussions on emerging technologies, collaborative opportunities, and innovative solutions enabled by advanced imaging.

For Biofisika, participation in SPAOM also represented an opportunity to strengthen relationships with current and potential users, establish new collaborations, and increase visibility of the institute's expertise within the broader European imaging ecosystem.

Beyond the scientific programme, the event highlighted the value of research infrastructures such as Euro-BioImaging in connecting researchers, facilities, technology developers, and companies. Building these bridges is essential for accelerating scientific discovery and transforming innovative ideas into impactful solutions.
